Biography

Philip Siegmann graduated in 1998 and received the Ph.D. degree in 2002 both in physics and from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), specialiced in the area of applied optics.

From 1 Abril 2003 to 31 of March 2004 he was Research Associate in Optical Stress Analysis in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with the University of Sheffield  (U.K.). During the period between September 2004 and March 2005 he worked part-time at an enterprise specialized in optical instruments (Aplicaciones Optrónicas S.A.) and part-time (for about 4 months) as Associate Professor at the Escuela Universitaria de Óptica with the UCM. In Abril 2005 until now he joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, with the Universidad de Alcalá (Spain) as Associate Professor.
